2011-2012 The general principle of infusion is use technology within the classroom setting to enhance both teaching and learning. It is a project-based focus, centered around current curriculum (no special ideas need to be planned for) and has 3 goals in mind ... think, create, share! The entire school in Viscount jumped on the infusion train and continue to creat fantastic digital learning projects that enhanced their learning and new media literacy skills. Clearly the students enjoyed the time and have much to celebrate! Here is a brief description of what each grade and class has done. Please use the menu on the left to view our projects and leave comments in the discussion area of each page as you like! We will continue to provide you with new projects our school has developed over time. Please Click on the links on the left-hand panel under "All Pages" to view student projects!
We explored our own global connections through looking at product origin of 50 things we own/use and 50 things we want by mapping them on a google map. We defined Globalization, Technology and Interdependance and then looked at the Pacific Rim % of global goods we consumed. From these percentages we wrote general understanding statements on Globalization, Technology and Interdependance.
Wix sites that explore individuals that overcome adversity and become good at something! We created a page that our parents can add a story how they persevered and became good at something!
